Maple Syrup and Mullahs: How Canada’s Politicians Dance on Double Standards

"Politicians would rather uphold the medieval agenda of the Islamists rather than those of us who embrace Canadian values." — Raheel Raza, President of the Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow.

Ah, Canada—the land of maple syrup, hockey, and... Islamist infiltration?

Yes, you heard it right. While Canadians were busy perfecting their poutine recipes, a more insidious force was slipping through the cracks of their political system. And guess what? The Canadian politicians seem to be rolling out the red carpet!

Imagine this: a cozy gathering of 30 Muslims in Canada, sipping on Tim Hortons, discussing their growing concerns over Islamist extremism. Not exactly your typical coffee chat, but there they were. They aren't radicals or alarmists; they're ordinary folks who fled the tyranny of mullahs, only to find the same shadows lurking in the Great White North.

Take Raheel Raza, for instance. She's received death threats and a fatwa—yes, in Canada—for daring to warn Canadians about the dangers of Islamism. According to her, the agendas of the Muslim Brotherhood, Iranian ayatollahs, and Pakistan's ISI have not only set up camp in Canada but have also penetrated their political system. And Canadian politicians? They'd rather uphold these medieval agendas than stand with those embracing Canadian values. Talk about a plot twist!

And then there’s Mazahir Rahim, a filmmaker with Bollywood roots and a sharp eye for drama. He’s been in Canada for just five years, but it didn’t take him long to notice the plot twist: extreme voices have Canadian MPs and MPPs on speed dial. Seriously, it’s like they’re besties, texting about lunch plans and shared distaste for liberal democracy. These are the folks blaming the West for 9/11 and harboring enough hatred for Jews, Hindus, and freedom to power a villain monologue.

Meanwhile, the ordinary Muslims—those who fled the mullahs’ iron grip—are left watching in disbelief as the mosque establishment puppeteers all three political parties. Yep, all of them. It’s like a terrible sequel we never asked for. Think the 8th season of Game of Thrones but cranked up to a hundred—dragons replaced by political pandering and zero satisfying conclusions

Intizar Zaidi, assistant editor of Canadian Asian News, has been in Canada for 40 years. He notes that second-generation Canadian Islamists are more radical than their parents. They desire Islamic Law in Canada—the very laws their parents fled from in countries like Iran, Pakistan, and Somalia. Once upon a time, political parties encouraged integration. Now, it seems they've misplaced that script.

Ahmad Chaudhury, who lived in Australia and the U.K. before settling in Toronto, shares stories from his WhatsApp groups. Some Muslims in Canada view the country as a place to benefit from but a sin to embrace. Unless religion is separated from politics, Canadian politicians are playing with fire. He points to the differing reactions to attacks on churches compared to attacks on mosques. The first is considered more acceptable than the second. Double standards, anyone?

Mumtaz Khan, a realtor, shared his worries about his children being identified as Muslims in the public school system. While at home, they're encouraged to be Canadian first. Even the school system seems intent on pushing them into silos of darkness that envelops most of the Islamic world. He reveals that politicians are encouraging the creation of mosque-like spaces inside many urban schools in Canada. Separation of church and state? Not in this plotline.

Aqsa Parvez, who was killed in Canada for not wearing a hijab, and to honor the forgotten souls of the Shafia sisters, drowned by their own family for simply asking to live like Canadians, not Afghans under the Taliban. That is if the death threats that are part of their lives do not materialize.

"Alright, folks, let’s face it: we’ve lost this round. The battle against wokeness and political correctness? It’s a KO, and we’re all lying on the mat, casualties of the Great Virtue Signal Wars. Grim stuff, huh? But hold your collective groans! There’s a tiny, flickering glimmer of hope. They’re gearing up for a rematch—a gathering to regroup, reminisce, and honor those who stood their ground. You know, kind of like a superhero team-up, but with more chai and fewer capes."

So, what’s the big takeaway here? Simple: Canadian politicians need to wake up and smell the double-double (yes, with extra caffeine). It’s time to stop playing political Twister with extremists and start standing with those who actually like Canadian values—maple syrup, poutine, and all. Let’s not forget, ordinary Muslims didn’t move here for a rerun of the bad dreams they left behind. They came for freedom, not a "choose your own theocracy" adventure.

And let’s be real—political correctness might be trendy, but it’s a terrible pair of sunglasses when you're trying to see threats clearly. If we don’t stand up for our values, who will? The raccoons? They’re busy raiding garbage cans.
